
Last week, incoming ninth graders were excited to be back with peers and explore Bethpage High School for orientation day. The students were welcomed by building administrators as they got acclimated with their new school surroundings!




The district welcomed its newest educators during its teacher orientation on Aug. 29 at Bethpage High School! Attendees were welcomed by Superintendent of Schools David Schneider and Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Kevin Fullerton. They were also introduced to key district personnel and members of the board of education before attending workshops and team building activities.


The Bethpage Union Free School District held its annual Golden Eagles Summer Academy at Central Boulevard Elementary School from Aug. 7-18! All Bethpage students entering grades 1-12 were invited to join the two-week program for free. Elementary students participated in hands-on enrichment activities, and middle and high school students had the opportunity to pick from a variety of different course options that best fit their interests,






Bethpage High School was once again recognized as a Scholar-Athlete School of Distinction from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association! It is among 84 schools from across the state to receive this honor for the 2022-2023 school year.


Forty students in grades K-5 participated in the district’s first summer cheer camp, led by Bethpage High School’s varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders! The two-day camp was held on Aug. 16 and 17 in the gymnasium of John F. Kennedy Middle School. Students learned the basics of cheerleading. This included dancing, jumping, tumbling and performing stunts!









Congratulations to incoming BHS sophomore Katherine Sfeir for receiving the LISFA Studio Award! This $500 scholarship award is presented to deserving students in 9th or 10th grade who were selected and participated in the LISFA Festival this year.


Approximately 530 students in grades K-7 from the Bethpage Union Free School District participated in the district’s annual Summer Elementary Enrichment Program from July 10th to Aug. 3rd! This year’s program was held at Charles Campagne Elementary School where students participated in different academic and enrichment courses based on their grade level.








No Days Off for the Regal Eagles!! Some members of the team elected to meet to make adjustments to their robot based on feedback of their performance at FIRST World Championships. Their first offseason competition will be the Half Hollow Hills Invitational in the Fall.





After a successful first installment earlier in the month, Ms. Robb facilitated another "Mathletes Helping Mathletes" activity on July 26, 2023. Mathletes from Central Boulevard Elementary School worked with Mathletes from Bethpage High School to solve mathematics problems.





Charlotte Hirsch-Beckman was recently appointed as the new assistant principal of Bethpage High School. On August 1, 2023, she will replace assistant principal Kevin Healy who is retiring. Welcome to Bethpage!


During the district’s Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, re-elected trustees Anna Israelton and Michael Kelly were sworn in, and Superintendent David Schneider took the oath of office. In addition, the board selected its officers for the new year, with James McGlynn serving as president and Ms. Israelton as vice president. Congratulations to all!





Congratulations to Mr. Fullerton on his new role as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and to Ms. Hayes on her new role as principal of John F. Kennedy Middle School! We are also proud to welcome Mr. Guerriero as Director of Special Education and welcome Mr. Murray back to Bethpage as the new assistant principal of John F. Kennedy Middle School. We are ready for a great year ahead!





In the first ever installment of "Mathletes Helping Mathletes", the Mathletes from Central Boulevard Elementary School partnered with Mathletes from Bethpage High School who worked together to solve a set of challenging mathematics problems organized by Ms. Robb.







Special thanks to the Regal Eagles for working with the Extended School Year (ESY) Program to assist with Lego activities to support STEM and for Ms. Robb for her planning!





The Regal Eagles held their annual car wash on July 8 at Bethpage HS. The team raised $1,206 to support their upcoming build & competition season & provide mini-grants to robotics teams in need. I even allowed the students to spray me down for 35 secs with a donation to the team.





Another NEW opportunity coming to Bethpage High School for the 2023-24 school year: E-Sports! Special thanks to the students that helped to usher in E-Sports by providing a Rocket League demonstration for Mr. Jantz, Mr. Attard, our IT Department & Help Desk, and me! 🦅🖥️





The Regal Eagles will be hosting a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Bethpage HS Stewart Avenue Entrance. Proceeds will help to support the Regal Eagles upcoming build & competition season as well as create mini-grants for robotics teams in need
