Bethpage Schools is excited to announce that we will have a Pre-Kindergarten (PK) program for the 2024-25 school year. Enrollment will be determined by a lottery as there are 108 seats available at this time for Bethpage students. Funding for the program will be through a New York State grant, so there is no cost to families.

Children of district residents who will be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2024, and will be eligible to enter Kindergarten in September 2025, may participate in the lottery. The program will be provided by Heart and Mind STEM Center, a New York State approved community based preschool, located at 520 South Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville. The program will run five days a week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and will follow the Bethpage Schools calendar. Children are expected to attend daily and transportation is not provided. 

The deadline for this lottery entry form is Friday, March 22, 2024 by 12 PM. The lottery drawing will take place on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 3 PM in the Bethpage High School Auditorium. All who applied are welcome to attend.

Parents will be notified through email by Wednesday, March 27, 2024, if their child has been selected for the program or if he/she has been placed on the waitlist. If selected, parents will need to complete the registration process by the deadline of Thursday, April 18, 2024  by 3 PM. If the registration deadline is not met or the registration packet is incomplete, those students will be removed from the program and replaced with those from the waitlist.
