Bethpage High School's Home Repair classes have been working on a plumbing unit where they have learned how to repair garden hoses and hose bibbs, installed faucets and drains on vanities, worked with PVC PEX pipe, and learned how to sweat (solder) copper pipe.
The next unit will be a construction unit where participating students will be framing walls and floors, installing sheetrock, and taping and spackling.
