CBS' grade 4 students participated in an exiting hands-on activity- the Wigwam challenge- bringing their Social Studies lessons on the Algonquian people to life. Using a picture of a wigwam as a guide, each team worked together to create their own dome- shaped structure.
Creativity and teamwork were on full display as the students and their special person discussed ideas and explored different ways to use the materials. If a design did not work out, teams embraced the challenge, experimenting with new strategies.
The All Purpose Room was filled with laughter and excitement as the students applied what they learned about Native American culture. Some even went the extra mile adding details to create the Algonquian era. It was a memorable experience for everyone that was involved!
