The Bethpage High School marching band, color guard, and kickline team made a vibrant appearance at the 2024 Newsday Marching Band Festival, performing a lively medley titled “Shut up and March.” The show featured the upbeat songs “Let’s Dance,” “Dance the Night” and “Shut up and Dance.” Their impressive performance took place on Oct. 24 at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Under the leadership of Director Kristen Warnokowski and Assistant Director Michelle Kovacs, the marching band delivered a tight, energetic set that showcased the musicianship and discipline of the Bethpage music program. The precision and coordination between the musicians, color guard and kickline kept the audience engaged throughout the set, underscoring the students’ dedication and preparation.
With this performance, Bethpage High School once again demonstrated its commitment to the arts, teamwork, and school spirit. The students’ hard work and enthusiasm were evident in every note, step and spin, making “Shut up and March” a memorable highlight of the festival.
