Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA)
NYSSMA is the New York State School Music Association. Students have the opportunity to play solos for an adjudication, the results of which may qualify them for one of the All County performing ensembles. These ensembles are comprised of the best students from Nassau County. There are forms for NYSSMA that can be downloaded from my resources page.

Nassau-Suffolk Performing Arts Ensembles
This is a non-profit organization based out of East Meadow High School which assembles the best students from all of Long Island. Students who pass the audition rehearse weekly and perform 2 concerts a year at the Tilles Center. These groups are a great opportunity for students who would like to pursue music outside of Cold Spring Harbor.The Metropolitan Youth Orchestras and Choirs
The is a non-profit organization based out of Herricks High School which also auditions and accepts the best students from Nassau County and performs 2 concerts a year.  MYO offers orchestras and choirs for students of all ages. 

The Long Island Youth Orchestra
The is a non-profit organization based out of LIU Post Campus which also auditions and accepts the best students from Nassau County and performs several concerts a year.
