Ms. Sciara's 8th grade Family and Consumer Science classes are finishing up their semester with an awesome Cupcake Wars project. For this project, students had the opportunity to work with their groups to make a vanilla cupcake recipe with a vanilla buttercream frosting. They were able to choose any theme they wanted and use that theme to decorate their cupcakes. At the completion of their baking and decorating they presented their cupcake to faculty judges and competed against the other groups in their class. The students were judged on their cupcake's: appearance, flavor, presentation, creativity, and overall appearance. As you can see from these photos the students showed outstanding creativity when decorating their cupcakes.
