On Monday, May 22, 2023, John F. Kennedy Middle School's Cultural Diversity Club celebrated Eid al-Fitr! Thanks to student Huzaifa Khan, we learned facts and were able to try some traditional dishes. We even got a visit from Bethpage High School junior, Maya Javed, who discussed the club in the high school, brought decorations, and set up an exciting, impromptu photo booth with her sister, Huda.
Mrs. Syrett and Mrs. Larosa want to thank all the students who came and want to invite more students in Grades 6-8 to celebrate diversity with us each month!
