Operation Splash

Operation Splash

Fifth grade students from CBS had an unforgettable experience at the Operation Splash trip. During the trip, they were able to learn valuable lessons about environmental conservation, such as the importance of picking up trash, avoiding the use of plastics, and respecting wildlife habitats.

Through participating in these initiatives, the students gained a deeper understanding of how their actions can impact the beach environment and the animals that inhabit it. They were particularly moved by the story of Inky the Whale, which shed light on the harmful effects of trash on marine life.

The students from Mrs. Wessinger and Mrs. Vitiello's class expressed feelings of sadness towards littering and found joy in cleaning up the beach to help protect marine life and animals. This hands-on experience not only left a lasting impression on the students but also tied in seamlessly with their Ecology Unit curriculum.
