Astronomy Night / A Night at the STEM Museum Information

Friday, November 3, 2017 - 7PM at John F. Kennedy Middle School

A Night Under The Stars

It was a cosmic experience for elementary school students in the district as they strengthened their science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills during the district’s 15th annual Astronomy Night.

Held at John F. Kennedy Middle School, students and their family members engaged in fun activities organized by members of the middle school’s and high school’s astronomy clubs. They made catapults, constructed towers out of recyclable materials, created light-up name tags, programmed robots to move across a grid and even had an opportunity to drive the robot built by the high school’s robotics team in the gymnasium.

The event also invited attendees out to the school’s soccer field, where they could view the night sky through telescopes.
